Mr. Andrew Cahalane, Managing Director
Andrew is a founder of VSRx, Asia’s very first compounding pharmacy for animals where he serves as the company’s Managing Director. He is also a co-founder of VSH Hong Kong where he serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer and is a member of its board of directors.
Andrew is an entrepreneur at heart and is passionate about the process of conceptualizing, building, and developing new business solutions. He began his career in corporate finance in the strategy division at Fleet Boston Financial. In this position, he developed his interest and acumen in the analysis and valuation of businesses from small Internet start-ups to Fortunes 500 Corporations. In addition, he worked for the Wall Street firm Bear Stearns & Co, where he focused on underwriting, modeling, and marketing structured financial products to the institutional investment community.
In his personal time, Andy is an avid sports enthusiast. He is a four-year varsity letter winner and team captain for the 3-time national champion Cornell University men’s lacrosse team. He is an enthusiastic fan of all of Boston sports teams, including the Red Sox and Patriots.
Andy earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
Jennifer is the first registered pharmacist in Hong Kong specialized and trained in veterinary compounding. Jennifer graduated with a Master of Pharmacy degree from the University College London, School of Pharmacy, U.K. She has worked in both retail and hospital pharmacy setting, and had received comprehensive training in compounding veterinary medicines at Ethos Veterinary Compounding Pharmacy and the American College of Apothecaries in the United States.
Being an owner of 2 dogs herself, Jennifer has encountered difficulties in giving her pets medications and noticed the problem in the “one-size-fits-all” approach from commercially available medicines. With her professional knowledge and love of animals, Jennifer strives to provide the best, unique, and customized pharmaceutical care for the animals in Hong Kong.
Jennifer is a member of the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacist and the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Hong Kong. By pioneering veterinary compounding in the region, Jennifer aims to make a significant contribution to the advancement of the pharmacy profession and veterinary healthcare in Hong Kong and beyond.
